Isabel was born by her mother in Melbourne Australia. Her dad is Australian and her mother Swiss. Her family has lived in Australia, Switzerland, Melbourne Jabiru (a small mining community in Northern Territory), Cairns Australia as well as Jabiru in Switzerland. Together with the sister Nina she attended schools which included First Nations children as well as children from other cultures. Isabel lives in Byron Bay, New South Wales Australia. Isabel has been involved with acting since her elementary school years. She studied at The Queensland University of Technology, the Victorian College of the Arts and Perdekamp Method Perdekamp. Her auditions were not for any parts until being discovered via her agents in 2002. The role she played was on Home and Away for 1988. Isabel believes in animal rights and she has worked in several environmental organisations. For the last 10 years she has been an ambassador for Melbourne Human Rights and Arts Film Festival. Isabel is well-known for her eco-conscious ethical interests as well as her commitment towards social justice. She became a brand ambassador for numerous clothing and cosmetics campaigns.
